Current TV is about what's going on: stories from the real world, told by
you. Now is the time to pick up a camera, jump in, and participate in an
expanding global dialogue! We slice our schedule into short segments ‹
"pods" ‹ each just a few minutes long. You'll see profiles of interesting
people on the rise, intelligence on trends as they spring up around us, and
international news from new perspectives. And much of it comes straight from
our viewers, through our VC2 (viewer created content) programming.

Join us for the special screening of the following Current TV pods!

BEADS, BREASTS, BUSINESS
by David Redmon
This pod follows the "bead trail" from the factory in China to Bourbon
Street during Mardi Gras, poignantly exposing the inequities of
globalization.

CITIZEN RESCUE
by Jared Arsement
After Hurricane Katrina flooded the city of New Orleans, VC2 Producer Jared
Arsement was one of the first to lend a hand in the rescue efforts. Now, a
year later Jared travels back into the Crescent City to show what¹s changed
along his route...and what hasn't.

CARIOCA COMPLEX: DISPARITY
by Jeff Zimbalist
Rio is a city of extremes. From the beach to the favela, beauty and
violence, glamour and gore are side by side.

ANGOLA PRISON RODEO
by Jake Futernick
Four inmate cowboys sit at a table in the middle of the arena playing a
friendly game of poker. Suddenly, a wild bull is released with the sole
purpose of unseating the poker players. The last man remaining seated is
the winner. This is just one of the events at the Angola Prison Rodeo.

KEHINDE WILEY
by John Carluccio
Hip-hop and art history collide on Kehinde Wiley's canvases, where
contemporary urban black men pose as angels, prophets, and saints set
against richly colored swirls of ornate and rococo ornamentation.

CAR ALARM BOOTY SHAKING
by Danielle Laudise
Do citizens respond when they hear a car alarm go off? These three girls
sure do.
