Mardi Gras Service Corps' First Annual Tyvek 2K FUN RUN!

WHERE: CENTRAL CITY, NEW ORLEANS
Ashé Cultural Arts Center

Everything starts here! Registration, the start of the race, and the neighborhood party!

WHEN: SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 2007
Registration will begin at 9:00AM at the Ashé
The race begins at 11:00 AM
The neighborhood festival will begin between 11:30AM-12:00PM.

WHAT:
A 2K run/walk for residents, families, youth, volunteers, and everyone else in New Orleans to have fun, celebrate the great life and rebuilding efforts, and show off their artistic skills. All proceeds will benefit the community rebuilding efforts of the Mardi Gras Service Corps.

Registered participants will receive a t-shirt and a white Tyvek suit to decorate and wear during the run/walk. We encourage everyone to customize their Tyvek suit (to accommodate the weather conditions). Prizes will be awarded for best decorated suit and best group theme. The run/walk will end with a neighborhood party, live music, good food, vendors, and a showcase of the artists, businesses, and organizations working in Central City.


WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: Businesses, artists, residents, volunteers and organizations doing great work to rebuild this historic and important neighborhood. This event is organized by the Mardi Gras Service Corps with support from:
$25 REGISTRATION FEE - Register online at www.mgscorps.org
