4th Annual LadyFest New Orleans

Ladyfest is a non-profit, spoken word, film, and arts festival organized by local women of all identities to showcase, celebrate and encourage the music, poetry, art and activism of women in New Orleans and to benefit local organizations that support women. At the annual festival, women can perform with other women (and men) in a safe, dominantly female-friendly, non corporate environment. Ladyfest is open and inviting to both men and women, of all ages and background. Ladyfest starts on November 3. Festival venues include: St. Anna’s Episcopal Church—Wednesday, November 3; Balcony Music Club—Thursday, November 4; Sweet Lorraine’s –Friday, November 5; Love Lost Lounge and Blue Nile Balcony Room, Saturday, November 6; Ashé Cultural Arts Center and Zeitgeist Arts Center—Sunday, November 7. The lineup for Ashé Cultural Arts Center includes Nattie, Margie Perez, Mary Flynn’s Prohibition Blues, Monica MacInryre and Zion Trinity.
