A group of 16 local artists explore how women took power in to their own hands during
our nation's worst natural disaster, ensuring there is an artistic record of the experiences
of New Orleanians.
The Swimming Upstream performance is part of the V to the 10th, V-Day's 10th Anniversary.
The Cast: Troi Bechet, Asali Devan, Anne-Liese Juge Fox, Karen Kaia Livers and Briceshanay
Gresham as the understudy. In addition, the complete cast will include celebrity cast members.
At this time, the first confirmed celebrity cast member is Kerry Washington. Karel
Sloane-Boekbinder and Dwana Makeba are Swimming Upstream's production managers.
