GRANT WRITING WORKSHOPS

Louisiana State Grants Management Section (SGMS) is pleased
to offer Regional Introduction to Grant Writing Workshops.
These Workshops are designed to help state and local government
along with Louisiana nonprofit groups win competitive grant funding.

The Introduction to Grant Writing Workshop shows how to:

* Review your group's funding needs
* Register to apply for federal grant funds
* Locate funding sources
* Understand how grant funding works
* Organize and write your grant application

Seating is limited to the first 100 registrants. To register for this FREE

Ashé Film Institute
Make your own short film. Learn basic video production, filming and
editing. Be the actor, director, camera crew, editor, and producer in
your own movie.

Ashé Drumming Circle
Come participate in the Ashé Drumming Circle. Instructors teach
African, Caribbean, Brazilian and Jazz Rhythms, and music theory.

Art of Comic Storytelling
Make your own comic! Comic book artist Eli Ivory teaches how
to use design, camera angles and various other techniques to tell
a comic story. The class will cover character design, layout and
storytelling dynamics. Students learn to create their own comic with
more visual appeal.
